I have been feeling a nudge for the past few years. At times I've tried to ignore it and go about life as if it weren't there. But the nudge just kept coming back! I felt a pull at my heart to share with others...share faith, share my expertise in health & fitness, share amazing products and professionals I have come to know. 'Next week, I'll start a little blog,' I'd tell myself. Next week, next month, next year all came and went. I changed jobs, had a baby, and kicked the can down the road so to speak. But that voice in the back of my head never left.
And then it happened...
The last situation any of us every expected to find ourselves in became our reality. We went from enjoying a relaxing Spring Break to shutting down schools, businesses, sports, gatherings...you name it. This time has felt so surreal, but it has provided so many blessings as well. While we are told not to gather with friends, go to our normal places of work or worship together, we are finding new ways to connect with friends and family. We are finding creative ways to teach, to work and to entertain ourselves. And it feels like we are hitting rewind to a slower, more simple way of life. And I am LOVING IT! I am in no way down playing the worldwide situation, but I see God working throughout all of this.
One of the greatest blessings to come out of this experience for me is time; time with my young family, time to reflect, time to plan, time to relax and time to finally give in to that nudge I've been grappling with for over two years now. So here I am, embarking on a little journey. I'm not sure where this journey will lead. I don't know exactly what the end goal is, but I am stepping into the unknown full of excitement and hope.
The primary goal of this endeavor is to connect and empower people. I am an exercise physiologist by trade, with a heart for helping others. I refer to my professional life as "a cornucopia of experience." I used to be embarrassed by this...that I had worked in so many different avenues of health, wellness, coaching, etc. I felt like I had no consistency and my resume looked like a circus. But now I see that this was all part of the plan. God's timing and plans are perfect and I know that I have come to the place I am now, not by accident, but by design. The many unique professional experiences I have had have led to incredible friendships and professional relationships with people of diverse backgrounds and specialties. I feel like I have developed an incredible network of colleagues who are seeking to make the world a better place through their work. I hope I can help connect individuals to these amazing people in hopes that we all strive to live the most fulfilling, whole lives possible.
Each week I will focus on a specific avenue of health & wellness. I will invite guest bloggers to share their expertise, post video interviews and highlight resources to help you thrive in all dimensions of health. Achieving lasting change is not something you do alone - it's a group effort, and I am here to help.
Here's to living The Whole Life together!
Cheers friends!
